HEADQUARTERS 1 CORPS COMMENCED WORKS OF THE YEAR 2023

The Headquarters, 1 Corps was officially commenced duties of year 2023 amidst military traditions on 02 January 2023 under the guidance of Commander 1 Corps, Major General Nishantha Manage WWV RWP RSP psc.

The first day parade of office was started with hoisting of National Flag and 1 Corps Flag followed by singing of National Anthem and Army Song. Later a two-minutes silence was observed on behalf of fallen War Heroes. Then all officers and other rank were took the State Allegiance Oath promising their dedication for the duty.

The New Year Messages of the Commander of the Army and Commander 1 Corps were read out by Brigadier Admin and Quartering and Colonel General Staff respectively.

The Commander 1 Corps personally extended his best wishes to Officers, Other Ranks, Civil Staff and their families while addressing them virtually where he remind the responsibilities of 1 Corps for well being of the motherland.

Finally, All Ranks tea session was held at the Corporals’s Club, Headquarter 1 Corps where civil employees of Headquarters 1 Corps received special gift packs from Brigadier Admin and Quartering, Brigadier SN Kithulgoda USP on behalf of Commander 1 Corps.
