HANDING OVER A NEWLY CONSTRUCTED HOUSE BY THE 5TH VIJAYABAHU INFANTRY REGIMENT TO A NEEDY FAMILY AT BERAGAMA

As per the concept of the Commander of the Army, on the instructions of the Commander 1 Corps and the General Officer Commanding 58 Infantry Division a new house was constructed for a low-income family living in Baragama, Ambalantota by the 5th Battalion Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment under the direct supervision of the Commander 581 Infantry Brigade.

The newly constructed house was officially handed over to Mr GG Lahiru Srimal and his family at the auspicious time on 22 April 2025 by Colonel EWMWKB Abeyratne RWP RSP USP psc, the Commander 581 Infantry Brigade on the invitation of the Commanding Officer of the 5th Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment, Major SHUD Weerawansha RSP USP VIR. Senior Officers, Officers, Government officials, donors and villagers took part in this special occasion.
