GENERAL OFFICER COMMANDING'S CHALLENGE CRICKET TOURNAMENT

General Officer Commanding’s Challenge Cricket Tournament was held on the occasion of the 29th Anniversary of the 53 Infantry Division from 18th August 2024 to 23rd August 2024.

The final match between 5th Battalion The Gemunu Watch and 19th Battalion of Sri Lanka Light Infantry cricket team was held on 23.08.2024 at the 53 Infantry Division Playground, The 19th Battalion of Sri Lanka Light Infantry won the championship for the consecutively second time.

In addition to the overall Championship, O/68155 Capt JKDD Silva SLLI won the best bowler trophy of the tournament and S/318299 S/Sgt Kumara DGAS won the player of the tournament trophy.
