THE GENERAL OFFICER COMMANDING OF 58 INFANTRY DIVISION, VISITS TO 583 INFANTRY BRIGADE

The General Officer Commanding of 58 Infantry Division, Major General HDWKN Eriyagama RWP RSP, made his inaugural visit to 583 Infantry Brigade on 18 September 2023. The Commander, 583 Infantry Brigade warmly welcomed the GOC at the entrance.

After the ceremonial guard turn out to mark the significance of the visit, the GOC - 58 Infantry Division, planted a sapling and appeared to a group photograph.

The Commander 583 Infantry Brigade, The Commanding Officer 1 SLSR and the Commanding Officer 6 VIR delivered a comprehensive briefing , shedding light on the Brigade’s and Battalions’ responsibilities, tasks and the challenges which are facing under present circumstances and emphasizing the need for seamless coordination to enhance the Brigades’ operational effectiveness.

Understanding the importance of effective communication, the GOC then addressed the troops, instilling a sense of purpose, discipline and motivation among them.
