THE FAREWELL CEREMONY TO OUTGOING`GENERAL OFFICER COMMANDING MAJ GEN JKR JAYKODY RWP USP 58 INFANTRY DIVISION

58 Infantry Division offer a farewell to its outgoing General Officer Commanding, Major General JKR Jayakody RWP USP on 16 April 2025. After completing 7 months of significant service he leave from the 58 Infantry Division to took over the duties as deputy commander of SFHQ (West).

The days’ programme commenced with the arrival on Major General Rohan Jayakody RWP USP and he was welcomed by the Maj MB Punchihewa Connanding Officer 21 SLSR following a Guard Turnout. The Colourful Guard of Honour was reviewed by the outgoing General Officer Commanding, accompanied by the Parade Commander together with Brig KNCS Kumarasinghe the deputy General Officer Commanding in accordance with military traditions. An address of All-Ranks by the outgoing GOC and All Rank tea culminated the day event. Brigade Commanders of under Commanders brigades, Commanding Officers, Senior Officers and Other rankers participated to this event.
