DISASTER RELIVING DUTIES

Due to the prevailing weather conditions in the country, emergency situation has risen in various parts. Accordingly, Flood Relief operations and evacuations were conducted at Meerigama, Alawwa, Ruwanwalla, Giriulla, Dompe and Veyangoda area from 28.11 2025 to 30.11.2025. Troops belongs to 1st Battalion of the Sinha Regiment under instruction of 1 Corps, 58 Infantry Division, 583 Infantry Brigade. 395 civilians including children were evacuated safely during the operation.
