THE COMMENCEMENT OF THE RAPID ACTION FORESHORE PATROL COURSE

With the guidance of Commander,1 Corps, Major General Harendra Ranasinghe RWP RSP ndc the and under the supervision of Major General Rohitha Aluvihare RWP RSP ndu psc, General Officer Commander 58 Infantry Division, the Rapid Action Foreshore Patrol Course was commenced on 22nd November 2021 at Regimental Headquarters of Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment with the participation of 02x60 Officers and Other Rankers of 6th Battalion of Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment. This course aims to train the Rapid Action Foreshore Patrol Company operating under the 58 Infantry Division.

The opening address was delivered by Major General Rohitha Aluvihare RWP RSP ndu psc, General Officer Commander, 58 Infantry Division, was emphasized the significance of the course. Brigadier Sanka Jayamaha RWP RSP USP, Commander 583 Infantry Brigade, proceeded with the briefing of the course curriculum and scheduled activities. The course will be conducted at Special Force Combat Diving School, Commando Regiment Training School, and Sri Lanka School of Military Engineers for 52 working days.
