COMMANDOS DONATES BLOOD TO ARMY HOSPITAL, NARAHENPITA

A group of Commandos volunteered to donate their blood during the blood donation programme conducted on 26 August 2022 at the HQ 4 Commando Regiment,Ganemulla. Brigadier Vijitha Hettiarachchi, Commander, Commando Brigade had given necessary guidelines for the success of the event and paid a visit to inspect the same which was arranged on the request of Army Base Hospital- Narahenpita. Total no of 200 officers and other ranks from HQ Commando Brigade, 1 Commando Regiment, 4 Commando Regiment and Headquarter Battalion of Commando Regiment were donated their blood for the benefit of the community during the event.

Medical officers, nursing staff and minor staff of the Army Hospital- Narahenpita provided the medical and professional assistance for this humanitarian project and at the end of the programme, they did not forget to appreciate the generosity and the support given by the Commandos for saving of lives.
