COMMANDER 1 CORPS VISIT TO 53 INFANTRY DIVISION (RSF)

The Commander 1 Corps, Major General WMPM Wijesooriya RWP RSP ndu visited the 53 Infantry Division (RSF), on 27 July 2025. During the visit a formal military ceremony held at the 53 Infantry Division Headquarters at Habarana. Moreover, a formal Guard Turnout was presented to the Commander 1 Corps at the 53 Infantry Division (RSF) main entrance by 8 Gajaba Regiment troops. Major General KHMS Wickramaratne RSP, the General Officer Commanding of the 53 Infantry Division welcomed the Commander, 1 Corps to the 53 Infantry Division with participation of Deputy General Officer Commanding, Brigade Commanders, Divisional Staff and Commanding Officers.

The Commander 1 Corps addressed the troops of the 53 Infantry Division and thereafter General Officer Commanding, 53 Infantry Division invited for the all ranks tea to the Commander, 1 Corps. Finally, he shared his valuable experiences with the Officers and Other Ranks gathered.

With the signing of the visitors’ book, Commander 1 Corps terminated the official visit by wishing 53 Infantry Division and under command troops for all the success in future endeavors.
