COMMANDER 1 CORPS VISIT TO 53 INFANTRY DIVISION

The Commander 1 Corps, Major General WMPM Wijesooriya RWP RSP ndu visited the 53 Infantry Division (RSF) on 10 April 2025. During the visit a formal military ceremony held at the 53 Infantry Division Headquarters at Habarana. Moreover, a formal Guard Turnout was presented to the Commander 1 Corps at

the 53 Infantry Division (RSF) main entrance by 1 Gajaba Regiment troops. Major General KHMS Wickramarathne RSP, the General Officer Commanding of the 53 Infantry Division welcomed the 1 Corps Commander to 53 Infantry Division with participation of Deputy General Officer Commanding, Brigade Commanders, Divisional Staff and Commanding Officers.

The Commander 1 Corps addressed the troops of the 53 Infantry Division and thereafter the Commander invited for the all ranks tea. Finally, the Commander shared his valuable experiences with the Officers and Other Ranks gathered.

With the signing of the visitors’ book, Commander 1 Corps terminated the official visit by wishing 53 Infantry Division and under command troops for all the success in future endeavors.
