COMMANDER 1 CORPS MAKES A FAMILIARIZATION VISIT TO 58 INFANTRY DIVISION

The Commander of 1 Corps, Major General WMPM Wijesooriya RWP RSP ndu, visited 58 Infantry Division Headquarters on 27.03.2025. The Commander 1 Corps was welcomed with a ceremonial guard turnout. Then the Commander of 1 Corps held a discussion with the General Officer Commanding, Brigade Commanders and Commanding Officers and General Officer Commanding briefed the nature of the duties of 58 Division to the 1 Corps Commander. Thereafter, a group photograph was taken with the senior officers, officers and other ranks. Then the Corps Commander addressed the troops of 58 infantry division at the auditorium. Then he visited the camp area and finally participated for the lunch arranged at officers’ mess. After the lunch, he left the division headquarters after completion of his first visit of 58 Infantry Division Headquarters.
