THE CLEAN SRI LANKA NATIONAL CLEANLINESS PROGRAM WAS CONDUCTED TO PROMOTE ENVIRONMENTAL CONSERVATION AND SOCIAL COOPERATION FOR A CLEANER AND MORE PEACEFUL SRI LANKA

On January 29, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, under the leadership of the Honorable Minister of Buddhist Affairs and the guidance of the Matale District Secretariat, the Clean Sri Lanka national cleanliness program was conducted to promote environmental conservation and social cooperation for a cleaner and more peaceful Sri Lanka. The initiative saw active participation from all government institutions in the Matale District, the business community, the Matale Police, the Civil Security Force, and local residents, who contributed their labor. Additionally, the 8th Battalion of the Gajaba Regiment deployed 2x50 personnel to support the effort, reinforcing the collective commitment to maintaining a clean and sustainable environment.
