CERTIFICATE AWARDING CEREMONY OF LONG-RANGE PATROL COURSE

The certificate awarding ceremony of Long-Range Patrol Course No. 21 was held in the evening time at the headquarters of the 3 Special Forces Regiment on 02 December 2021, with the adapting of the Covid 19 protocol. One Officer and sixty-three Other Ranks have graduated as Long-Range Patrol members after undergoing a vigorous training schedule of nine months.

With the invitation of the Commanding Officer of 3 Regiment Special Forces, Major Janaka Rathnayake RSP USP psc, the graduation ceremony was preceded by Major General Harendra Ranasingha RWP RSP ndc, Colonel of the Regiment Special Forces and Commander of 1Corps, with the participation of Brigade Commander, Special Forces Brigade, Brigadier Thushara Mahalekam WWV RWP RSP USP psc, Centre Commandant, Special Forces Regimental Centre, Colonel Prasad Randunu RWP RSP USP and Senior Officers of the Special Forces Regiment.

The best student of the course and the Best Shooter was awarded to Lieutenant RDVG Samaraweera, and the Best in Physical Fitness was awarded to Lance Corporal Pradeep Kumara MGR. Furthermore, the event was encompassed by the opening of the newly constructed building and a graduation dinner.
