ASSUMES DUTIES OF COMMANDER AIRMOBILE BRIGADE

Brigadier Y M S C B Jayathilake RSP USP of the Sri Lanka Singha Regiment assumed duties on Wednesday (11) as the 25th Commander of the Airmobile Brigade in Velankulam amid military formalities and religious observances.

After presenting a Guard Turn Out, the newly appointed Brigade Commander was welcomed to the Brigade Headquarters.

He afterwards signed and official document amid religious observances and symbolized the assumption of office.

Similarly, a troop address, planting of a sapling and an all rank tea arrangement marked the occasion. Commanding Officers of the 3 Sri Lanka Light Infantry, 12 Sri Lanka Singha Regiment, 3 Gajaba Regiment, 1 Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment and Brigade staff officers were present at the occasion.
