Army Base Hospital, Kilinochchi Celebrates Its 13th Anniversary

Celebrating 13 years of dedicated service since its establishment, the Army Base Hospital, Kilinochchi, commemorated its anniversary on 2 February 2025 with a series of events, organized under the guidance of the Officer Commanding, Major (Dr) Chandima Jayasinghe.

To mark the occasion, a series of sports tournaments, including volleyball, badminton, carrom, and a cricket match, were held during the last week of January. Officers and Other Ranks of the Army Base Hospital actively participated, fostering comradeship and teamwork.

On 1 February 2025, a Dharma sermon was held at hospital premises to invoke blessings for the fallen heroes, differently-abled soldiers, those recovering from illness, and all serving military personnel.

The anniversary celebrations culminated with a group photograph and tree planting by the Officer Commanding followed by a troop address and an All Rank lunch. The event concluded with an informal dinner get-together, strengthening bonds among all ranks
