5TH BATTALION THE GEMUNU WATCH BUILDS NEW HOUSE FOR A NEEDY FAMILY

A new house was erected by the troops of 5th Battalion the Gemunu Watch under command to the Air Mobile Brigade. The new house was vested in the beneficiary on 04 Aug 2024 at Wellawaya. During the warming warming ceremony, the house key was symbolically hand over to the beneficiary by the Major General MTI Mahalekam WWV RWP RSP USP ndu psc, the General Officer Commanding of the 53 Infantry Division.

The event was also grace by the presence of Brigadier AD Rodrigo RWP RSP psc, Commander of the Air Mobile Brigade and Lieutenant Colonel DGT Lasantha RWP RSP psc, the Commanding Officer of 5th Battalion the Gemunu Watch. Government Officials and villages also participated in the event.
