58 INFANTRY DIVISION PROVIDED ASSISTANCE TO AFFECTED PEOPLE DUE TO ADVERSE WEATHER CONDITION IN PUTTALAM

With the southwest monsoon, heavy showers above 100mm were occurred at most of the places in Puttalam District. Several areas were affected with flood and people needed assistance with cooked meals. Divisional Secretariat Puttalam requested assistance to cook meals for 400 affected personnel by providing rations. Under the guidance of GOC 58 Infantry Division 400 meal packs prepared and hand over to the officials of Divisional Secretariat Puttalam on 20 May 2024.
