53 INFANTRY DIVISION (RSF) COMMEMORATES 27TH ANNIVERSARY

53 Infantry Division (Reserve Strike Force) Headquarter at Inamaluwa, Dambulla commemorated its 27th Anniversary on Thursday (24) at its Headquarter in the presence of Major General Shanaka Rathnayaka RWP RSP ndc, General Officer Commanding (GOC) 53 Inf Div (RSF)

The GOC was saluted in a Guard Turnout with military formalities on arrival. Subsequently he planted a sapling in the camp premises. Later, with the invitation of Dy GOC 53 Inf Div (RSF) Brig RWK Hewage RWP RSP, GOC opened the newly updated “ Aralia Speed Mart” Welfare Shop and renovated SLASC Fuel Pump, and addressed the troops of 53 Inf Division. Further, GOC joined the All Rank Lunch and finally musical show in the evening before concluded the Anniversary Commemoration.

In equivalent with the 53 Inf Division (RSF) 27th Anniversary, conducted inter Bde Cricket tournament on 22nd and Sermon with Bodhi “Pooja Pinkama” was held on 23rd Aug 23 evening.
