1ST BATCH QUALIFIES IN INDIGENOUS ‘ANGAMPORA’ MARTIAL ART

An Angampora training course was conducted under the direction of Major General SB Amunugama RWP RSP ndu, Commander 1 Corps who is also the Chairperson of, the Sri Lanka Army Angampora Committee and with the close supervision of the Sri Lanka Army Angampora Committee in view to enhance age-old self-defence techniques, physical strength, endurance, courage and tolerance among the Army personnel serving under 1 Corps.

The course terminated on 16 Feb 2024 at the headquarters 1 Corps, a demonstration showcasing their newly-acquired defensive skills and martial art techniques using respective weaponry and other accessories. 50 male Army personnel under 1 Corps joined for the training session. Major General SB Amunugama RWP RSP ndu, Commander 1 Corps graced the occasion as the chief guest.
