1 CORPS TROOPS ORGANIZED A DHARMADESHANA PROGRAMME

With the intention of belief, follow Buddhist practices and thereby improve mental health and integrity among the officer and other ranks, a Dharmadeshana programme was conducted at the “Nelum Piyasa”, Kilinochchi on 24 April 2023.

This religious programme had been organized on the Direction of Lieutenant General Vikum Liyanage RWP RSP ndu, Commander of the Army and the close supervision of Major General Nishantha Manage WWV RWP RSP psc, Director General General Staff (DGGS) and Commander 1 Corps and Directorate of Personnel Administration.

Similarly, necessary arrangement for this charitable event were properly arranged by Headquarters 1 Corps and its affiliated Logistics Units.

The Founder and the chief patron of Ama Dora Viwara Viya Sadhaham Foundation under Seelasamahitha Aranya Senasanaya Seelagama - Belihuloya - Balangoda, Venerable Balangoda Radha Thero conducted the sermon for the troops and invoked merits on the fallen War Heroes who made supreme sacrifice for the motherland.

Brigadier WPWC Perera Lsc, Brigadier Admin & Quartering- 1 Corps together with many senior officers, officers and other ranks participated in the day’s religious programme.
