1 CORPS TROOPS LEARN USE OF THE MILITARY IN LAW ENFORCEMENT DURING TRAINING DAY PROGRAMME

Under the guidance of the, Directorate of Human Rights and International Humanitarian Law, a valuable and timely needed lecture on “Use of the Military in Law Enforcement”, was held with the participation of Officers and other ranks of 1 Corps and its affiliated Logistics Units, at the headquarters 1 Corps on 07 September 2022.

The lecture was conducted by the Lt Col IMSSK Ilankoon RWP RSP psc, Commanding Officer of 9 Gemunu Watch and Maj KAPA Rathnayaka . During the programme, the participants were educated on Human Rights and Law Enforcement Powers, Basic principles, Arrest/ Detention and Search/Seizure, etc. Training audience was consisting with 272 Officers and Other Ranks of HQ 1 Corps and affiliated logistic units tps.
