1 CORPS HEADQUARTERS INITIATED THE “PAPERLESS ARMY” CONCEPT WITH UNDER COMMAND FORMATIONS

A training programme on the Daily Mail Dispatch Service system for data entry operators and administrative assistance has been held on 17 January 2022 at the Ranaviru Information Technology Institute (RITT) Kokavil which was organized by the IW Group 1 Corps, under the guidance of Commander 1 Corps, Major General Harendra Ranasinghe RWP RSP ndc.

The intention of this programme is to develop knowledge of the Sri Lanka Army Daily Mail Dispatch Service System, which was developed by the Directorate of Information Technology, among data entry operators and administrative assistance in Headquarters 1 Corps and under command formations.

The training session was conducted by Major Daya Senevirathne SLSC, representing the 6 Regiment Sri Lanka Signal Corps under the supervision of the Office of the Chief Signal Officer and Directorate of Information Technology. 32 Other ranks representing Headquarters 1 Corps, 53 Infantry Division, 58 Infantry Division, Commando Brigade, and Special Forces Brigade have attended for the training programme. Lecture included both theoretical and practical training sessions. The lecture was highly appreciated by all the participants, and the same was confirmed by the feedbacks of the audience. The programme was held in accordance with all COVID-19 preventive measures.
