COLONEL COMMANDANT OF THE SLAWC MARKED HIS FIRST OFFICIAL VISIT TO THE KALUAGGALA DETACHMENT

Major General K V N P Premaratne RSP USP psc, Commander Security Forces (EAST) and the Colonel Commandant of the Sri Lanka Army Women’s Corps conducted an official visit the Kaluaggala detachment and addressed troops of Special Operation Support Group (SOSG) on 17 December 2024 during his official schedule.

The respective Officer in charge of the Kaluaggala detachment Major S E Kapugamage SLAWC welcomed the visiting Colonel Commandant with the honour and briefed the administrative functioning of the detachment.

Further, Major General Nilantha Premaratne briefed his vision to the troops of the Kaluaggala detachment and advised on necessary instructions pertaining to the training, discipline, security concern and for uplifting the detachment and maintaining the standard in all aspects.

Afterwards, the Colonel Commandant SLAWC address troops of Special Operation Support Group deployed at Panagoda cantonmant. During the formal discussion, the Colonel Commandant SLAWC explained the importance of Officers and Other Ranks' training and instructed Officers to improve the training of troops under their command. Furthermore, he highlighted the discipline and welfare of the soldiers. Moreover, the Colonel Commandant SLAWC provided necessary direction to relevant Officers of SOSG to rectify their present issues, which were discussed during the session.

Brigadier Sanjaya Karunaratne, Centre Commandant SLAWC, Deputy Centre Commanadant, SO I (LOG), GSO II of RC SLAWC along with Regimental Sergeant Major attended the visit.
