The Sri Lanka Army Women’s Corps Seva Vanitha Branch (SLAWC-SVB) successfully organized a compassionate donation programme for the Sinha Salsewana Child Development Centre on 23 November 2025. The initiative was carried out under the leadership and guidance of Mrs. Sachetha Hewage, President of the Sri Lanka Army Women’s Corps Seva Vanitha Branch.
A team comprising dedicated officers and other rankers of SLAWC-SVB generously presented essential school items along with special-needs supplies to the girls residing at the home. Their thoughtful contributions aimed to support the children’s education, well-being and day-to-day comfort.
In addition to the donations, the team hosted a delicious lunch for the young residents, creating a warm and joyful atmosphere. To add further happiness to the occasion, an engaging entertainment programme was organized—filling the day with laughter, interaction and heartfelt smiles.
This initiative reflects the unwavering commitment of the Seva Vanitha Branch to uplift and empower individuals in need. Through continuous acts of service, the branch remains dedicated to making a meaningful difference in the lives of children and communities across the nation.
