As part of its ongoing welfare initiatives, the Sri Lanka Army Women’s Seva Vanitha Branch organized an enriching excursion for soldiers to the historic Galle Fort on 11 November 2025. The initiative was inspired by a request proposed at the Annual General Meeting, reflecting the branch’s commitment to acknowledging and responding to the needs of its troops with sincerity and purpose.
Guided by the leadership and direction of Mrs. Sachetha Hewage, President of the Sri Lanka Army Women’s Seva Vanitha Branch, the event was thoughtfully planned and flawlessly executed.
The timeless charm of Galle Fort—with its scenic coastline, colonial architecture, and preserved heritage offered the ideal setting for a day filled with relaxation, companionship, and rejuvenation. The excursion provided soldiers the opportunity to unwind, strengthen bonds, and experience a mental and emotional uplift away from duty-bound routines.
This initiative stands as a testament to the unwavering dedication of the Seva Vanitha Branch in elevating the quality of life of our troops. By consistently placing the well-being, happiness, and morale of soldiers at the forefront of their endeavours, the branch continues to play a profound and impactful role in supporting not only the soldiers but also their families.
