The Seva Vanitha Branch of the Sri Lanka Army Women’s Corps organized a Pol Roti and Ginger Tea Dansala on 12 May 2025 in front of the Regimental Centre, Borella, to mark the Vesak Full Moon Poya Day.
The event was held under the guidance of Mrs. Sachetha Hewage, President of the Seva Vanitha Branch, with the support of all ranks at the Regimental Centre.
Over 2,500 civilians attended the Dansala. Major General HHKSS Hewage RWP RSP USP rcds psc, Colonel Commandant of the SLAWC and Commandant of the Defence Services Command and Staff College, attended as the Chief Guest. All ranks of the RC SLAWC and 1 SLAWC also took part in the event.
