Major General K V N P Premaratne RSP USP psc, Commander, Security Forces (East) and the Colonel Commandant of the Sri Lanka Army Women’s Corps (SLAWC) conducted an official visit to the 1st Battalion Sri Lanka Army Women’s Corps on 18 December 2024.
Upon the arrival, the Colonel Commandant was welcomed by Major E M H C De Saram psc, the Commanding Officer of 1SLAWC, followed by a briefing on matters pertaining to every aspects of duties, administrational and welfare matters.
The Colonel Commandant briefed his vision towards the future of SLAWC and highlighted the importance of discipline of the soldiers. Further, he visited 1 SLAWC camp premises and provided necessary guidance to improve welfare of the troops.
The visit was culminated with the cordial interaction with all Ranks of the Battalion during all Ranks tea. At the end, he posed for a group photograph and left complimentary remarks in the Visitors' book.
