The 1st Bn Sri Lanka Army Pioneer Corps organized a School bags Donation programme at Magurumaswila Vidyalaya – Walallawita on 13th march 2024.
This programme was conducted under the guidance of Major General R A J N Ranasinghe RSP USP ndc, GOC of 61 Inf Div and Brigadier M W S Millagala RWP RSP USP Hdmc psc , Comd of 612 Inf Bde with the intention of to develop goodwill between the Sri Lanka Army and the civilian society as well as to overcome the inconveniences caused to the people due to the current economic situation in the country.
The donor of the event Mr. Umesh Gunasekara and Mr Prasad Lokubalasooriya, coordinator of “ATHA HITHA” charity organization catered for total number 150 students with school bags and lunch. Lt Col R P C N Piyatissa Isc, the Commanding Officer of 1st Bn Sri Lanka Army Pioneer Corps, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.
