Maj AMAP Abeysinghe USP psc assumed duties as the 29th Commanding Officer of the 1st bn of Sri Lanka Army Pioneer Corps on 31 December 2024
He was welcomed by the second in command and All ranks at the respective home of pioneer corps premises in Pelawaththa, Mathugama.
The ceremony began with formally inspecting the Guard turnout. The newly appointed commanding officer officially assumed command by signing a formal document. The day’s proceedings also included the planting of mango saplings and an address to the troops.
