The 1st Bn of the Sri Lanka Army Pioneer Corps celebrated its 66th Anniversary

Sri Lanka Army Pioneer Corps proudly celebrated its 66th Anniversary in a grand style event filled with tradition and camaraderie on the 05th of July 2025. The day commenced with the awarding of the Anniversary Guard Turnout to Commanding Officer Maj AMAP Abesinghe USP psc SLA where soldiers displayed their impeccable discipline and dedication to duty.

In a heartfelt tribute, a solemn commemoration ceremony was conducted to honor the brave war heroes of the Pioneer Corps. Wreaths were respectfully laid at the SLAPC War Heroes' Monument, serving as a symbol of our gratitude and remembrance. In addition, a tree sapling was planted to signify new beginnings, while two newly renovated toilet complexes were inaugurated for other ranks. Furthermore, a vital water purification plant was officially handed over, ensuring the health and well-being of our dedicated soldiers.

Then a traditional all ranks lunch, where officers and soldiers came together to enjoy a meal symbolizing solidarity and camaraderie.

All programs were organized by the Officers and all ranks under the guidance of Commanding Officer 1SLAPC in accordance with the rules and regulations of Sri Lanka Army.
