The 1st Bn of the Sri Lanka Army Pioneer Corps celebrated its 65th Anniversary

Sri Lanka Army Pioneer Corps proudly celebrated its 65th anniversary in a grand-style event filled with tradition and camaraderie on July 5, 2024. The day commenced with the awarding of the Anniversary Guard Turnout to Commanding Officer Lt Col RPCN Piyatissa Isc MI, where soldiers displayed their impeccable discipline and dedication to duty.

Following this, a majestic ceremonial parade unfolded, and it showcased the unit’s precision and unity as they marched with pride and honor. Amidst the festivities, the celebrations culminated in a traditional all-ranks lunch, where officers and soldiers came together to enjoy a meal symbolizing solidarity and camaraderie.

A commemoration ceremony was held for the fallen war heroes who served under the Pioneer Corps, and wreaths were laid in their memory at the SLAPC War Heroes' Monument.

All programs were organized by the officers and all ranks under the guidance of Commanding Officer 1SLAPC in accordance with the rules and regulations of the Sri Lanka Army.
