COMMANDER I CORPS VISIT TO 53 INFANTRY DIVISION (RSF)

The Commander 1 Corps, Major General PS Subath Sanjeewa RSP nps psc visited the 53 Infantry Division (RSF), on 08 January 2026. During the visit a formal military ceremony held at the 53 Infantry Division Headquarters at Habarana. Moreover, a formal Guard Turnout was presented to the Commander I Corps at the 53 Infantry Division (RSF) main entrance by Gajaha Regiment troops. Major General GAT Godewatte RWP RSP, the General Officer Commanding of the 53 Infantry Division welcomed the Commander, 1 Corps to the 53 Infantry Division with participation of Deputy General Officer Commanding, Brigade Commanders, Divisional Staff and Commanding Officers.

The Commander 1 Corps addressed the troops of the 53 Infantry Division and thereafter General Officer Commanding, 53 Infantry Division invited to the Commander, 1 Corps. for the all ranks tea. Finally, he shared his valuable experiences with the Officers and Other Ranks gathered.

With the signing of the Visitors’ book, Commander 1 Corps terminated the official visit by wishing 53 Infantry Division and under command troops for all the success in their future endeavors.
