Clean Sri Lanka program

Under the Clean Sri Lanka program initiated by the present government, a project to keep the environment beautiful and clean was launched on 18.02.2025 with the the 58 Infantry Division and in collaboration with the Puttalam Divisional Secretariat. Under this program, 2 km of the Puttalam-Mannar road and 200m of Sevwansee Lagoon road which was heavily polluted were cleaned. Government institutions and civil organizations in the area also participated for this program. The General Officer Commanding, 58 Infantry Division, Major General Rohan Jayakody RWP USP, has given guidance and officers and other rankers of the 58 Infantry Division were participated to the event.
