THE VISIT OF COMMANDER 1 CORPS TO THE COMMANDO BRIGADE AND 4 COMMANDO REGIMENT

Major General MTI Mahalekam WWV RWP RSP USP ndu psc, Commander of 1 Corps made a formal visit to the Headquarters Commando Brigade and 4 Commando Regiment on 28 Oct 2024.

He was warmly welcomed to the Brigade Headquarters by the Commander, Commando Brigade, Brigadier KVIL Jayaweera USP. Thereafter, he was briefed on the Deployment, duties and responsibilities by Commander, Commando Brigade and the Commanding Officer of 4 CR. Afterward, the Commander 1 Corps attended to the sightseeing of Close-Quarters Battle (CQB) Building and K9 Group.

As well as the Commander 1 Corps addressed the all troops and appeared for the Group Photograph. The Commander, Commando Brigade presented symbolic appreciative mementos to the Commander 1 Corps. Before his departure, Commander 1 Corps left some complimentary notes in the visitors’ book.
