THE COMMANDER 1 CORPS MARKED HIS FIRST OFFICIAL VISIT TO 581 INFANTRY BRIGADE AND THE 5 VIJAYABAHU INFANTRY REGIMENT

Major General MTI Mahalekam WWV RWP RSP USP ndu psc, Commander 1 Corps made his first official visit to the 581 Infantry Brigade and the 5th Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment on 26 Oct 2024 after assuming office.

Commander 1 Corps, warmly welcome by the Commander of 581 Infantry Brigade and Commanding Officer of 5 VIR and honoured in a Guard Turnout presented by the troops in accordance with the military formalities at the entrance of their respective Headquarter on 26 Oct 2024. After that, he was briefed on deployment, duties and responsibilities by Commander of 581 Infantry Brigade and Commanding Officer of 5 VIR. The proceedings followed with camp visits, group photographs, troop address and Brigade construction site visit. The programme concluded with a lunch at the Officers’ Mess.
