1 CORPS CONDUCTS TREE PLANTING PROGRAM COINCIDING WITH THE ASVU'S 40TH ANNIVERSARY

Troops of the 1 Corps organized a tree planting program on 12 July 2024 at the 1 Corps premises to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Army Seva Vanitha Unit.

The program was carried out on the concept of Mrs. Janaki Liyanage, President of ASVU and supervision of Major General PGPS Rathnayaka RWP RSP ndc, Commander 1 Corps.

During the programme, 300 saplings of Mee, Tamarind, Mahogany, Damba and Kohomba plants were planted.

Senior Officers, Officers, and Other Ranks at 1 Corps participated in this event.
