58 INFANTRY DIVISION MARKS THE 14th ANNIVERSARY

The 58 Infantry Division celebrated its 14th anniversary on 3rd January at the Division Headquarters in Puttalam with the patronage of General Officer Commanding Maj Gen Vipula Ihalage RWP RSP psc ptsc. The ceremony commenced with Pirith chanting on 01st January 2023 at Divisional Headquarters and followed by almsgiving for 50 monks. In addition to that dry rations were donated to Sri Gnanodaya Pirivena - Kivula on 02nd January 2023. The main event of the programme was conducted on 03rd January which included ceremonial Guard Turnout to General Officer Commanding, 58 Infantry Division, opening of newly constructed ORs accommodation, troops address and all ranks tea at Headquarters 58 Infantry Division.
