A BLOOD DONATION PROGRAM INITIATED BY 1 CORPS

On the theme of 2569 “Sambudda Jayanthi”, a blood donation program organized by the 1 Corps headquarter with the concept of Maj General WMPM Wijesuriya RWP RSP ndu the Commander of 1 Corps, with the participation of under command support and service battalions on 14th May 2025 from 0800 hrs at Army Base Hospital premises at Kilinochchi.

The Commander of 1 Corps Major General WMPM Wijesuriya RWP RSP ndu, Colonel Coord – Colonel JPNB Jayasooriya USP, Colonel AQ- Colonel GAIS Nanayakkara AATO, Senior Officers, Officers, Other Ranks and Staff of Army Base hospital participated to the said event. To achieve this grate work of donating blood, the blood bank branch of the General Hospital–Kilinochchi contributed and 05 officers and 130 other ranks donated the blood.
