SRI LANKA ARMY VOLUNTEER FORCE RECEIVES A DONATION OF ESSENTIAL EQUIPMENT

Extending a gesture of gratitude towards the Defenders of the Nation, the Leo Club of University of Colombo donated a stock of essential equipment to the Headquarters Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force for the use of its serving members.

Commandant Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force Major General Sampath Kotuwegoda, received the donation from Leo Nipuna Sandaruwan during a brief function held at the premises of the Headquarters Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force on 05 March 2021.

Major General Kotuwegoda conveyed his sincere thanks to the members of the Leo Club of University of Colombo and appreciated their endeavor of encouraging soldiers. The donation consisted of wheel chairs, a computer, a water filter, surgical masks and liquid sanitizers.

Deputy Commandant, Principal Staff Officer, Senior Army Officers and some members of the Leo Club of University of Colombo District 306 C1 were present on the occasion. Colonel Nalindra Mahawithana Colonel Logistics of the Headquarters Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force coordinated the donation.
