SIGNAL LADIES IN THE MONTH\'S ACTION

Monthly meeting of the Signals Seva Vanitha Branch was held on 19th August 2017 at the Signal Officers\' Mess, Panagoda. The meeting was mainly focused on the projects and events planned for the upcoming months and to enhance the mental potency of troops by eradicating the working stress. SIGNALS JUNIOR RECEIVED A CONTRIBUTION FROM THE ARMY SEVA VANITHA UNIT FOR A PET SCAN

Chairperson of the Army Seva Vanitha Unit, Mrs Chandrika Senanayake stepped forward with a financial contribution of LKR 200,000.00 for a Positron Emission Tomography (PET) scan, which is essential for the healing management of Nethmi Gimhani Vidanagamage, daughter of Major N G Vidanagamage Lsc SLSC who is undergoing treatments at the Apeksha Cancer Hospital, Maharagama. This charitable movement was taken place on 25th August 2017 at the same hospital.

SEVA VANITHA MEMBERS OF SLSC VISIT TO ABHIMANSALA II, KAMBURUPITIYA

The members of Seva Vanitha Unit of Sri Lanka Signal Corps headed by Mrs. Sepali Samarasinghe visited the Abhimansala II in Kamburupitiya on 26th April 2015. The unit has made a special contribution, in order to replace the cushion covers used in the Abhimansala II, with a cost of Rs. 97,000.00 and also remember treated them with a fruit basket.

SEVA VANITHA BRANCH OF SRI LANKA SIGNAL CORPS ORGANIZED A \"SAGO DANSELA\" AND A DONATION ON POSON POYA DAY

Members of the Seva Vanitha Branch, Sri Lanka Signal Corps organized a \"Sago Dansela\" at Boodhirajarama Temple premises, Panagoda to mark the Poson Poyaday on 12th June 2014. The President of Signal Seva Vanitha Branch and many other members participated for this event which served over 2000 Sago cups to devotees. rnrnThe event was followed with a donation of Rs 53,000.00 worth of Sports Artificial Limb to a disabled war hero of Sri Lanka Signal Corps.

AGM OF SIGNALS LADIES CLUB WAS HELD

The Annual General Meeting (AGM) of Signals Ladies Club held at the Sri Lanka Signal Corps Officers\' Mess during AM hours on 24th May 2015. During the meeting unanimously Mrs Ramya Kumari Rowel appointed the new Chairperson by the virtue of her position as the first lady of the Corps of Signals.

CHRISTMAS CELEBRATIONS OF SIGNALS LADIES CLUB

With the arrival of month of celebrations, when entire country is eagerly waiting to celebrate this unique event, Signals Ladies Club too organized a Christmas celebrations in grand scale aiming at disabled war heroes and their families on 21 December 2014. Members of the Signals Ladies Club donated hampers to disable war heroes and give away gifts and sweets to the children those who were present. rnAll participants enjoyed this evening, which ornamented with Christmas carols, fun games and many other attractive events. SIGNALS LADIES CLUB DONATED A NEWLY CONSTRUCTED HOUSE TO A FAMILY OF LATE WAR HERO

The Signals Ladies Club handed over a newly constructed house to a family of late war hero, S/278069 L/Cpl Nilantha Bandara RSP who has sacrificed his life to bring the much awaited peace to our motherland on 16th August 2008.

SIGNALS LADIES CLUB ORGANIZED A \"SAGO DANSELA\"

The members of the Signals Ladies Club organized a \"Sago Dansela\" for the 2nd consecutive year at the Bodhirajaramaya temple premises, Panagoda to mark the Poson Full Moon Poya Day on 2nd June 2015. Colonel Commandant of the Corps of Signals Major General K R P Rowel RWP USP ndu psc, Chairperson of Signals Ladies Club Mrs. Kumari Rowel, members of Signals Ladies Club and officers participated for the event. Over 2000 sago cups served for the general public.

WORKSHOP AND MONTHLY MEETING OF SIGNAL SEVA VANITHA BRANCH

Monthly meeting of the Signals Seva Vanitha Branch held on 13 September 2015 at the School of Signals premises. Along with the meeting, a workshop of beauty culture sponsored by Dreamron and an interesting guest lecture on \"The Role of a Military Wife\" by Mrs.Arosha Perera, Director, Career Guidance and Counseling Unit and former Director of Physical Education, University of Peradeniya were conducted with the participation over 140 members. The \"Seva Vanitha\" meeting was mainly focused on the projects and events planned for the upcoming year.
