The new president of Seva Vanitha Branch of Sri Lanka Signal Corps (SLSC-SVB), Mrs. Sashika Herath took over the duties on 12 June 2022 during a simple ceremony at Regimental Officers’ Mess Sri Lanka Signal Corps. Subsequently, the monthly meeting for the June 2022 was also held at the same venue, with the participation of 40 members of SLSC SVB and she explained about the future projects which expect to be conducted in the coming months.
Sri Lanka Signal Corps Seva Vanitha Branch (SLSC-SVB) organized a simple farewell ceremony to Outgoing president of SLSC-SVB Mrs Sajeewani Peiris on 12 June 2022. This farewell was held during a simple ceremony at Regimental Officers’ Mess of Sri Lanka Signal Corps.
Following a conceptual guidance given by Mrs Sujeewa Nelson, President, Army Seva Vanitha Unit (ASVU) and Mrs. Sajeewani Peiris, the Chairperson of the Sri Lanka Signal Corps Seva Vanitha Branch (SLSC-SVB) actively contributed to construct a new house for late soldier’s family.
Mrs Sajeewani Peiris, the Hon President of the Seva Vanitha Branch of Sri Lanka Signal Corps (SVB - SLSC), unveiled a plaque and opened the new Signal Seva Vanitha Branch office at the Signal Regimental Centre Officers’ Mess premises by cutting a symbolic ribbon on 30 April 2022 at the request of the executive committee of SVB - SLSC.
Afterwards, the monthly meeting was also held at the same venue. The Chairperson spoke out about what the organisation has done so far and explained the future projects expected to conduct in May and beyond.

In view of uplifting the welfare facilities of war heroes and their families, serving officers and Other Ranks of the Sri Lanka Signal Corps, "Mercury Plant Shop" which was established near to the Habarakada main entrance of the SFHQ (W) by the Sri Lanka Signal Corps Seva Vanitha Branch was declared open by the Chairperson of Sri Lanka Signal Corps Seva Vanitha Branch Mrs Sajeewani Peiris on 12 March 2022 under the patronage of Chief Signal Officer and Colonel Commandant of Sri Lanka Signal Corps Major General PAJ Peiris ndu. Other senior members of the Sri Lanka Signal Corps Seva Vanitha Branch also attended for the opening.
Seva Vanitha Branch (SLSC-SVB) of the Sri Lanka Signals Corps takes another step towards building a house for the welfare of the members of the Signal Family. On the request made by the wife of S/279704 S/Sgt Deshapriya RPSK, a Senior Non-Commissioned Officer who died on 06.06.2021 due to a sudden heart attack while on duty at the Sri Lanka Army Seva Vanitha Unit. The foundation stone laying ceremony was commenced on 03.02.2022 with the participation of the Honorary Chairperson of the Sri Lanka Signal Corps Seva Vanitha Branch (SLSC-SVB) Mrs. Sajeewani Peiris. The CO, 1 SLSC and CO, 2 (V) SLSC also attended the event.
Sri Lanka Signal Corps Seva Vanitha Branch (SLSC-SVB) organized its monthly meeting together with a Scholarship award ceremony for those who were selected and did not participate in the award ceremony held at the Army headquarters for a scholarship by the Sri Lanka Army Seva Vanitha Unit for their highest achievement in grade 5 scholarship, GCE O/l exam, and GCE A/l exam held on 30 January 2022 at the Regimental Centre Officers’ Mess. Those scholarships were awarded by the Chairperson SLSC-SVB Mrs. Sajeewani Peiris.
With the directions and guidance of Maj Gen PAJ Peris ndu, the Colonel Commandant of Sri Lanka Signal Corps and the Chief Signal Officer of the Sri Lanka Army and the Chairperson of Seva Vanitha branch Sri Lanka Signal Corps Mrs Sajeewani Peiris, 4th Regiment Sri Lanka Signal Corps commenced with the construction of a new house for S/283373 L/Cpl Weerasooriya JAW on 25th December 2021.
