On 08 March 2024, the Chinese Delegation headed by the Deputy Director of the Office for International Military Cooperation of the People's Republic of China Major General Zhang Baoqun paid an Official visit to the School of Signals. He was warmly welcomed to the school by the Chief Signal Officer of the Sri Lanka Army and the Colonel Commandant of the Sri Lanka Signal Corps, Major General IHMRK Hetath USP ndc psc and the Centre Commandant of Sri Lanka Signal Corps, Brigadier SJKD Jayawardena USP psc and Chief Instructor of the School of Signals, Major MMUIB Wewegedra psc SLSC at the Officers' Mess.
