Major General IHMRK Herath USP ndc psc, the Chief Signal Officer of the Sri Lanka Army and the Colonel Commandant of the Sri Lanka Signal Corps, embarked on his inaugural official visit to 4th Regiment Sri Lanka Signal Corps on 04 March 2024.
Upon arrival, Major WHMJ. Wijerathne USP psc, the Commanding Officer, extended a warm welcome to the Colonel Commandant. Subsequently, troops of the 4th Regiment Sri Lanka Signal Corps reviewed a Guard Turnout in accordance with military traditions.
The day's agenda began with ceremonial proceedings, including group photograph and the Colonel Commandant planted a sapling in the premises making the event much more memorable. Afterwards, he addressed troops and followed by an interactive session with troops at All Ranks tea. Subsequently, the Commanding Officer conducted a comprehensive briefing to the Colonel Commandant covering communication, training, administration, and logistic matters.
Finally Chief Signal Officer and Colonel Commandant of Sri Lanka Signal Corps, Major General IHMRK Herath USP ndc psc penned compliments and good wishes in the visitor’s book and the formalities of the day were culminated by the Lunch at the Officers' Mess prior to his departure.
