Eighty eight recruits belong to the Basic Certificate in Information and Communication Technology Course No 129 received their insignia on Monday (20) at the School of Signals during a glamorous parade. The Commandant, School of Signals graced the passing out ceremony as the chief guest accompanied by Commanding Officers of Signal Regiments.
The passing out parade, was coloured with pinning of signal badges and the prize awarding for S/288258 Signalman Mapitiyage KS who became the best all round student. The chief guest congratulated the new signallers whilst adding his invaluable advices for the betterment of their future professional endeavours. Subsequent to the parade, a demonstration of various technological disciplines mastered during the progression of the course was displayed to the chief guest and senior officers by the students of the course.
The Basic Certificate in Information and Communication Technology Course was conducted during the time span of fifty-eight working days which encompassed theoretical and practical knowledge in all basic aspects of Communications and Information Technology and for the regimentation as newcomers to the signal family.
