BRIGADIER GS FONSEKA USP psc ASSUMED DUTIES AS THE 14TH DIRECTOR OF NATIONAL CADET CORPS

Brigadier GS Fonseka USP psc took over duties as the 14^th Director of National Cadet Corps at an auspicious time on 12 January 2023.

Upon his arrival to the HQ premises, the new Director was received and welcomed by the PSOs of the HQ NCC. After inspecting the Guard Turn out, the new Director was accorded a Street Line Salute by the Cadets of the 3rd Battalion NCC. Later, amidst religious observances, the new director symbolically placed his signature on an official document to mark the assuming of duties.

Afterwards, Brig Sudantha Fonseka addressed the Officers, Other Ranks and the Civilian Staff of the HQ NCC. A brief visit by the new Director in the compound saw the conclusion of day’s programme.

Before being appointed as the Director NCC, he was holding the appointment as the Centre Commandant at the Regimental Centre of Sri Lanka Signal Corps.

All PSOs, Officers, Other Ranks and Civilian Staff of the HQ NCC witnessed the series of ceremonials.
