Signalers showed their high class performance in the Sri Lanka Army Inter Regiment Table Tennis Championship held from 26th to 28th September at the Gymnasium of Army Physical Training School, Panagoda. Many young talented and national players from all regiments took part in this event.
Sri Lanka Signal Corps Women’s Team became the champions in individual and group category both. In the Men’s category Sri Lanka Signal Corps were able to secure Runners-Up. Signalman Priyankara YRM won the Best Player Award (Men) and Private Rodrigo TN won the Best Player Award (Women) in this encounter.
Certificates and trophies to the winners were presented by Major General AC Lamahewa WWV RWP RSP Director General Infantry of Sri Lanka Army who graced the occasion as the chief guest. Major General HMLD Herath RSP USP psc Chief Signal Officer Sri Lanka Army and Colonel Commandant of Sri Lanka Signal Corps and many Senior Officers and officers participated.
