Awarding of National Vocational Qualification level two certificates for students who successfully completed the Computer Applications Assistant Course was held on 17 August 2022 at School of Signals. The Colonel Commandant of Sri Lanka Signal Corps and the Chief Signal Officer of the Sri Lanka Army Major General HMLD Herath RSP USP psc graced the ceremony as the chief guest.
The Course was introduced for the first time with the collaboration with Tertiary and Vocational Education Commission. The course was conducted during a period of twenty-five days from 27 December 2021 as per the standards of National Vocational Education Commission. Final theory and practical examinations was conducted by the TVEC certified assessors after completion of twenty-five days of industrial training.
This course was aimed to impart knowledge of Information Technology and to enhance professional skill set of the Other Ranks who belong to other arms enabling them to perform IT tasks effectively.
