NEW COMMANDING OFFICER TAKES OVER 11TH REGIMENT SRI LANKA SIGNAL CORPS (IT)

Lieutenant Colonel Chandra Kumara Gunathilake of the 11th Reg Sri Lanka Signal Corps (IT) assumed office on Friday (25) as the 7th Commanding Officer of the 11th Regiment Sri Lanka Corps (IT).

The newly-appointed Commanding Officer of the 11th Regiment Sri Lanka Corps (IT) was warmly welcomed by the 2nd in Command, All Officers & Other ranks of the 11th Regiment Sri Lanka Corps (IT) before he was greeted to a Guard Turnout by troops of the 11th Regiment Sri Lanka Corps (IT). Afterwards, Lieutenant Colonel Chandra kumara Gunathilake Amid chanting of ‘ Seth Pirith’ of Buddhist monk in his new office, signed an official document signifying the acceptance of his new office and after that he sat for a group photograph with his Staff.

In lie with formalities the new CO addresed both Officers and Other Ranks. followed with the tea before the day’s proceedings ended.

Lieutenant Colonel Chandra Kumara Gunathilake prior to this appointment served as the GSO I (Com) EW in Office of CSO.
