NEWLY APPOINTED COMMANDING OFFICER OF 3SLSC ASSUMES DUTIES

The 25th Commanding Officer of the 3rd Regiment Sri Lanka Signal Corps Lieutenant Colonel HADW Hettiarachchi USP psc assumed office as the new commanding officer on 30 January 2021 during a simple ceremony.

In accordance with military traditions, Lieutenant Colonel HADW Hettiarachchi USP psc reviewed the Guard Turnout on his arrival after he was welcomed by the acting second in command of the unit, Major TSE Fernando SLSC.

Subsequently, he laid a floral wreath at the War Heroes’ monument in remembrance of fallen War Heroes of 3 SLSC. Thereafter, newly appointed Commanding Officer symbolically signed an official document to signify the acceptance of the new appointment amidst religious observances.

Then he left memories by planting a sapling in front of the Regimental Headquarters and finally he addressed troops at Other Ranks Mess.
