Book distribution programme was organized with the direction of the Colonel Commandant of Sri Lanka Signal Corps Major General D A P N Dematanpitiya ndu psc and the president of the Signal Seva Vanitha Branch Mrs Ramani Dematanpitiya, in order to encourage children to enhance their knowledge through reading.
Books were distributed on 04 October 2020 at the RHQ SLSC premises among children of all Other Ranks and Civilian Staff of Sri Lanka Signal Corps in commemoration of the Worlds Children’s Day and Worlds Literary Day.The president of the Signal Seva Vanitha Branch Mrs Ramani Dematanpitiya greased the occasion as the chief guest.
During the first stage books were distributed among children of all Other Ranks and Civilian Staff of 5SLSC, 10SLSC(CT), 11SLSC(IT), 12SLSC(CS) and few senior members of the Signal Seva Vanitha Branch and Commanding Officers of the respective units also attended for the event.
